Happy New Year, or whatever
Hey, hi, hello!
Holy shit it’s January. When did that happen? No seriously, this isn’t some quirky intro marketing ploy. I’m genuinely confused about where the hell the entirety of 2022 went. I don’t think I lived it. I’m pretty sure.
Then again, I also had a dream about bears last night and I managed to convince myself that I’m utterly terrified of them when I woke up. I’m not. I love bears.
This got off track before I even began.
Happy holidays, everyone! I hope you had a wonderful break, celebrating or not celebrating. If you’re anything like me, you generally feel like you need a vacation to recover from your vacation, so I hope you had at least a couple of days to rest before you were forced back into the swing of 9-5 life.
A few things have happened over here at VJS Books since we last spoke, so let’s do a quick round-up:
I went on a hiatus
Kill Bite released
I’ve turned into one of those custom-keyboard-building nerds
I started writing the sequel to Kill Bite
I think that about sums it up, for the most part. If you want more personal updates (like all the books I got for Christmas), you can check out my IG. For now, we’re going to cover some of the more relevant stuff. Yes, I’m talking about Kill Bite and its sequel, Prey Drive.
If you haven’t picked up a copy of my new book yet, then what are you even doing? It’s really good, I promise! It’s also pretty short, so you could finish it in like a weekend. As always, eBook copies are available as well as paperback, and this time we even have hardcover! Woohoo!
I intensely wish I could tell you that I have a release date planned for Prey Drive, but as Kill Bite released less than a month ago, I haven’t figured out the fine details yet. It will be this year, I won’t make you wait that long. I’m aiming for summer, I think. We’ll see how it goes.
Now that the holidays are over, I’m also going to be resuming regular blog posts and socials updates. Follow me @VJSBooks on whatever platform you prefer! Except Twitter. I have a Twitter account, but I don’t use it much. Maybe I’ll change that, who knows?
If you haven’t signed up for my monthly newsletter, now would be a good time! I’ll also be working on more short stories this year, all taking place in my existing universes and all of them canon. I’ll be having some fun with those, so keep an eye out!
I think that about covers it for me right now. If I keep typing, I’m going to start rambling about something irrelevant and we’ll be here all day.
